    A Convenient Encounter (DragonriderSC)

Post by xXSolarsilverXx on Wed Feb 25, 2015 9:22 am

Gullfoot's jaws opened wide with a bellowing yawn, her large paws crunching loudly against the snow as she trekked forward. The she-cat looked more pleased than a robin on a warm spring day. Although that wasn't exactly out of place for her of all cats. The fresh kill pile had been looking a little low on prey lately, so she had figured that she would go out to oblige and perhaps catch something for herself, while she was at it. Heh.

After a bit of padding along, she took note of her surroundings, sniffing the air as a light breeze swept against her ruffled coat. If she wasn't mistaken, the Asterclan border should be close by. Perhaps she might be lucky and could find a stray rabbit or pheasant that had left the safety of their territory? She could only hope. A nice plump meal sounded pretty good right about now, the mere thought practically making her mouth water. Off she went, padding steadily down the rocky mountainside and towards her destination, eyes aglow with intent as the woodland gradually came into view.

Comettail walked gingerly through the rocky landscape even though his pads were beginning to scrap, ever since his hunting accident among the rocks the now appointed deputy had made an effort to keep away from this area. However as the days went by he began to realize that he'd have to come here sooner or later so he decided that he'd rather do it by his own will.

He didn't plan on doing anything grand when he headed out , he thought that he'd may as well just go walking through the rocky terrain and maybe pick up a few pieces of prey if he found any. But then as he walked he realized that he had not sent out a border patrol this way , he growled annoyed at himself for forgetting such an important task. Sighing he changed course to end up at the end of their territory , where it met with Jagclans.

After some walking, walking, and more walking, which seemed almost ceaseless by now, she took note of something moving towards the border. A bit taken aback, the she-cat stopped in her place and squinted her eyes, trying to identify it. Even from where she was stood she could tell that it was a tall figure, and most definitely too tall to be any sort of prey that she knew of. An Asterclan cat? A loner? A fox, maybe? All were plausible. Whatever it was, she'd be lying if she were to say that its arrival didn't peak her interest. Her kit-like curiosity winning her over, she changed her path slightly and slowed her pace to walk in its general direction. Whatever the thing was, perhaps it would give her something a bit less tedious to do.

Once he had reached his destination he wasted no time in getting straight to the point of why he was there in the first place, he started setting the markers up along the stretch of land that lay at the very end of his clans territory. It was somewhat tedious having to mark this area as the rocks weren't very good at holding scent for too long so his clan would have to reset markers more often then their other borders.

He flicked his tail once he was done and turned to leave but something caught his attention , a scent of a cat; he glared as he realized the scent was coming from somewhere behind him. The long legged deputy decided to play cunningly and headed up the borders length keeping his attention on the cat who was following him, eventually he began to walk in a much faster pace and was able to get out of sight of the cat ; once he did he made a double back so that he would end up behind the stranger. He stalked the stranger for a few moments watching their reaction to realizing they had lost him.
